Graphic Design
The interplay of words and images can tell a story in its own right. The graphic design I do for print and digital media is simple, clean, and clear.
Saving Alaskan Wildlife
I created this graphic to visually explore potential strategies for educating tourists in Alaska about illegal wildlife trafficking. It provided a concrete starting point to explore potential collaborations between Woodland Park Zoo and their potential project partners.
Lake Washington Boulevard
I designed these social media assets for Seattle Neighborhood Greenway’s campaign to keep Lake Washington Boulevard open to walking, biking, and rolling. I selected early responses to the survey we were promoting and paired them with photos that our outreach team had taken on site. For each asset, I made variants that were optimized for each social media channel.
Tree Time
Mount Pisgah Arboretum uses their quarterly newsletter to share updates, promote educational events, and encourage donations. While I worked at the arboretum, I would do the layout with Adobe InDesign and supervise the newsletter’s printing and distribution.
Biofact Walkaround Guides
Woodland Park Zoo’s early childhood education building is full of hands-on items that include bones, shells, antlers, and minerals. I researched, illustrated, and designed these walk-around guides to help guests identify the biofacts while letting families move them around at will as they freely explore the space.
Digital Holiday Cards
The Learning & Innovation team at Woodland Park Zoo wanted a simple digital image that could be pasted into an email with a personalized holiday note for our partners and collaborators. Working within the bounds of the zoo’s style guide, I designed these two cards to be dignified with a touch of playful whimsy.
